Serving the Community since 2015

The Heart & Sole Skippers Jump Rope Team was founded in February 2015 by Head Coach Melissa Heltman and Team Coordinator Marcia Lietha with the goal of providing an affordable and unique youth sports opportunity to the Greater Cincinnati Homeschool community.
The team is still led by Coach Melissa, who is now joined by Assistant Coach Hannah Ham and Team Coordinator Kristin Meckley.
This Award-Winning performance team of exclusively homeschooled children serves the community with entertaining shows, informative demonstrations, and learning workshops!β

The team welcomes any homeschooled child ages 6 through 18, regardless of experience or abilities, to their Junior Varsity division to learn the basics of the sport. Junior Varsity practices are taught by the Varsity Leadership team of Mentors and Captains. Once a JV team member meets certain skill level requirements, they are promoted to the Varsity performance team.β
Since its founding, the team has performed at a variety of venues across the Tri-State area including schools, homeschool co-ops, parades, community events, senior living facilities, high school and college half-time shows and have been featured on ESPN+ and in America's Got Talent promotional filming!β

In an effort to continue the accessibility of the sport of jump rope, the team also offers educational workshops and after-school programs. βAll ages are invited to jump in the fun, no experience required! PE Teachers can also learn how to start their own club or team!
